J-STEAM (ISSN: 2998-8063) is a semi-annual, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by J-STEAM Journal LLC. The journal publishes original, high-quality research across science, technology, education, art, and medicine.

All articles undergo rigorous double-blind peer review and are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, ensuring free and permanent access for readers worldwide — including the right to share, adapt, and build upon published work, even for commercial purposes, with proper attribution.

Publication decisions are made solely by the Editor-in-Chief with support from the editorial board, guided by the standards of COPE and ICMJE. J-STEAM maintains full editorial independence in all publication decisions.

What is J-STEAM?

J-STEAM (ISSN: 2998-8063), published semi-annually, is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by J-STEAM Journal LLC. The journal provides a forum for the exchange of original, high-quality research at the intersection of health sciences and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) disciplines.

How do I submit a manuscript?

All submissions are made online through our submission portal at jsteam.org. Please read the Guide for Authors before submitting.

What types of manuscripts does J-STEAM accept?

We accept Original Research Articles, Narrative Reviews, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Case Reports, Short Communications, Letters to the Editor, and Editorials (by invitation only).

What type of peer review does J-STEAM use?

J-STEAM uses a double-blind peer review process. Both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous throughout the review.

How long does the peer review process take?

We aim to provide an initial decision within 4–6 weeks of submission. Timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability.

What ethical guidelines does J-STEAM follow?

J-STEAM adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

How does J-STEAM handle plagiarism?

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using iThenticate, Turnitin. Manuscripts containing plagiarized content are rejected or retracted per COPE guidelines.

Does J-STEAM assign DOIs to articles?

Yes, every published article receives a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via Crossref.
