Aim & Scope
J-STEAM (ISSN: 2998-8063), published semi-annually (June and December), is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by JSTEAM LLC. The journal provides a forum for the exchange of original, high-quality research across science, technology, education, art, and medicine (STEAM).
J-STEAM is dedicated to the dissemination of new knowledge that bridges clinical and biomedical sciences with interdisciplinary STEAM fields — spanning public health, health informatics, medical and dental education, digital health, data science in healthcare, and related domains where science, technology, education, art, and medicine converge.
The target audience of J-STEAM includes researchers, clinicians, educators, health policymakers, students, and professionals working across health sciences and STEAM disciplines.

Open Access Policy
J-STEAM is a fully open-access journal. All articles published by J-STEAM are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers. Further information on open access is available at Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Licensing
J-STEAM publishes all content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This permits users to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material).
Under the Following Terms: Attribution required, Commercial use permitted, No additional restrictions
You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Publication Fees
J-STEAM is committed to a transparent and accessible scholarly publishing process. An article processing charge (APC) is payable only after a manuscript has completed peer review and been formally accepted: USD 500 for Original Research; USD 800 for Systematic Reviews (with or without meta-analysis) and Narrative Reviews; and USD 300 for Case Reports and Short Communications. There is no charge for Letters to the Editor / Correspondence or Guest Editorials. J-STEAM does not charge submission, editorial processing, page, colour-figure, or reprint fees.
Waivers are available so that cost is not a barrier to publishing: 50% for corresponding authors based in a low-income or lower-middle-income country (World Bank classification) and for students or trainees with no research funding, and up to 50% for other documented financial hardship. A waiver must be requested in the cover letter at submission and does not affect the editorial decision. Full details are given in the Submission Guidelines.
Editorial Leadership
J-STEAM is overseen by an independent editorial team responsible for maintaining academic integrity, editorial quality, and ethical publishing standards.

Advertising Policy
J-STEAM does not accept or display commercial advertising, sponsored content, or paid promotional material on its website or within its published articles. All editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and are made independently of commercial interests. Advertisers, sponsors, funders, and other commercial entities have no influence over manuscript selection, peer review, editorial decisions, or published content.
